FUSE
Come to FUSE, a major arts event for young people this Sunday 25th July, and celebrate two years until the start of the 2012 Olymipc Games. Organised in partnership between Westminster City Council's Arts Service, the Royal Parks, and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, thirty-five local cultural organisations will showcase the wealth of creative ways in which young people take part and get involved in dance, music, theatre, spoken word and the visual arts.
Sunday 25th July
Kensington Gardens, London
12noon-7pm
Chinatown Arts Space presents a performance and chance to learn some hip hop dance steps with EXODUS at the FUSE festival in Kensington Gardens this month.
EXODUS's street/hip-hop choreography is a hybrid mix of old school boogaloo, popping, locking and breaking styles with new school hip-hop and krump. Their blend of humour, emotions, tricks and stunts is backed by an eclectic modern soundtrack which features sounds from the fifties to the noughties.
EXODUS will not only give the audience a memorable hip-hop dance theatrical experience but, led by dance group organiser Johnny Ong, their performance will be followed by a 45 minute workshop where you can start on the road to learning the basics of hip hop dance.
EXODUS members come from various ethnic backgrounds, styles and attitudes, but share a passion for dance and coming together as a team to create, teach, learn and quite simply just dance for the love of dancing.
EXODUS’s performance and workshop will be at 4.20pm on the Main Stage.
FUSE is London’s most ambitious one-day free arts festival designed with and for young people. Organised by the Royal Parks to enable you to share your creativity, explore new ways of expressing yourself, see what others are doing and share in the excitement.
For more information go to the FUSE web-site.

Eiji Kusuhara obituary
The Japanese actor Eiji Kusuhara, who has died of cancer aged 63, played the sadistic Lieutenant Sato in the television series Tenko (1981-85), was one of the narrators on the cult show Banzai (2001) and appeared on stages across the UK and Europe in a variety of beguiling roles. He was one of the first professional Japanese actors active in London in the 1970s and enjoyed something of a monopoly on roles until he starred alongside a fellow countryman, Togo Igawa, in The Man Who Shot Christmas (1984)
