Chinatown Arts Space in partnership with Asia House and supported by Shaftesbury PLC launches SUSTAIN – a new project to commission a third landmark piece of public art for London’s Chinatown.
The search for the next sculptor artist to produce a striking, thought-provoking and contemporary piece of public art for London’s Chinatown has started this month. Devoted and Disgruntled 7
Devoted and Disgruntled 7- what are we doing about theatre and the performing arts
Do you love theatre?
Do you find it frustrating?
Do you wish it were different?
Do you feel like an outsider in your own profession?
Have you just started out and need support?
Have you been in the profession for years and feel jaded?
Is your sector always left out of the discussions?
Do you usually dread discussions and meetings?
Are you looking for a sense of: community, eldership, mentorship?
Are you looking to change things?
If so, D&D7; is for you.

D&D is for everyone- the more diverse the crowd the better the conversation. British East Asian artists were not very well represented last year- this is your chance to change this! We'd love there to be plenty of BEA voices at D&D7;- we'd love your voice to be at D&D7;.

Plus Life Friendly Events throughout the Summer
Chinese Arts Centre is delighted to announce the experimental ‘Life Friendly Project’ in collaboration with research consultancy Culture Probe, this summer. The Life Friendly Project attempts to explore how artists and art organisations can work in ways that have a positive (benign / restorative) impact on both human quality of life and on the natural world. This approach is in radical contrast to the low carbon economy eco-efficiency approach, which focuses on reducing negative impact. There is considerable evidence that eco-efficiency does not solve the climate change problem but only slows it down, and has other unintended negative consequences.
